Norma Dittman has joined the staff of the Murray County Wheel/Herald and will be working part-time on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in the office at 2309 Broadway Avenue, Slayton, MN.
“We’re very excited to have Norma join us,” stated Wheel/ Herald Editor Justine Wettschreck. “She has a wealth of experience and knowledge and will be an amazing asset to our paper.”
For the past 22 years, Dittman was employed by Johnson Publishing at the Fulda Free Press. She wrote many feature stories for the Fulda Free Press, Murray County News, Nobles County Review in Adrian and Tri County News in Heron Lake. Those newspapers were permanently closed in July of this year.
“Norma knows what it takes to provide local news in our community,” Wettschreck said.
As part of her responsibilities at Johnson Publishing, Dittman reached out to area businesses and organizations for advertising sales. The advertising promoted the businesses and drew attention to area events, activities, sports and meetings.
Dittman lives near Dundee with her husband Robert. The couple have 3 children: Henry (married to Kim), Rebekah (married to Gunnar Hansen), and Luther (married to BonnieSue). Six grandchildren, Raelynn, Eleanor, Lucy, Rosealee, Eli and Serenity, bring joy to every day.
