Court Queen of Peace met Saturday, January 25 at 9:30 AM at the social room at St. Ann’s School with 14 members present. Regent Deanna Konkol called the meeting to order followed by prayer, pledge and correspondence from Christmas basket recipients, seminarians and Father Schuster.
Secretary and Treasurer’s reports were read. The Financial secretary’s message was that she is collecting dues of $25. There are 68 members with 6 of then homebound or in assisted living facilities.
Legislative chair Jan Bryan suggested that the Courier is an excellent source for the goings on at the legislature such as sports gambling, Child Tax Credit and much more. A collection was taken for the benefit of the seminarians.
The Christmas baskets were a huge success. The Christmas tree decorating at the Holt House took 2nd place and Rita Lear was thanked for spearheading it.
CDA will be having an egg bake breakfast on March 2 after the 10 AM Mass, Several members volunteered to furnish food. The 50/50 and You raffle was explained. Buy a ticket for $5 and our court gets $2.50 back.
Valentine cards were passed around for members to sign so that they could be presented to shut-ins and residents at assisted living facilities.
