Planting trees of the Great Plains: Right plant, Right place To be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pipestone County Extension Office located at 1016 8th Ave SW, Pipestone Mn 56164. This program is hosted by the Pipestone County Master Gardeners.
Horticulturist and garden designer, Conner Evers, is set to present a session on effective tree planting. With a deep commitment to sustainable, naturalistic design practices, Evers will share his expert knowledge on the strategic selection, installation, and care of trees within our communities.
As an advocate for eco-friendly landscaping solutions, Evers brings years of hands-on experience to this informative session. The presentation will focus on tree planting techniques that not only benefit homeowners and gardeners but also help enhance the environmental health of local ecosystems.
Audience Engagement: Evers’ session will feature photo examples and case studies to highlight the unique challenges of tree planting and how the right techniques can make a lasting difference. The presentation will encourage audience interaction, allowing for a robust Q&A segment where participants can gain practical insights tailored to the local community’s gardening needs.
There will be a $10 fee to attend this workshop. You can pay at the door with cash or check, checks need to be made out to Regents of the University of Minnesota.
