The year, 2020, marked the 95th anniversary of Charles Lindbergh’s historic non-stop, solo flight across the Atlantic from New York to Paris. To commemorate this historic event, Historical Experiences, Inc. brings to you . . .

The Lone Eagle: The Flight of Charles Lindbergh On May 20-21, 1927, Charles Lindbergh won the admiration and adulation of the world when he won the Orteig Prize by making the first non-stop flight from New York to Paris. Lucky Lindy amazed the world by staying awake at the controls of the Spirit of St. Louis for 33 ½ hours, flying 3,600 miles before landing at Le Bourget Field in Paris. It has been over 90 years since Lucky Lindy made his historic flight and achieved a fame that has not been duplicated since. Learn about this man whose life story is also the story of the development of the science of aviation, from the early canvas and wire airplanes to the Boeing 747.

Arn Kind, of Historical Experiences is a historian and teacher of over 40 years’ experience. He will bring the story of Lindbergh’s epic flight to life for us.

Join us on Thursday, October 13th for the Murray County Historical Society October Dinehart Lunchbox Lecture. The program will be at noon in the 4-H building on the Murray County Fairgrounds. You are encouraged to bring your own sack lunch. Beverages and light snacks are provided.
