Community Blood Bank is asking for residents to consider donating blood and support the local blood supply as Murray County Medical Center, Murray County E.M.S., Slayton Fire Department and Slayton Law Enforcement join forces to host the annual Heroes Behind the Badges blood drive event on Wednesday, June 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at MCMC.

Southwest Minnesota State University announces the students recognized for academic achievement during the spring 2022 semester. An undergraduate student who completes 12 or more A-F graded credits and achieves a grade point average of 3.5 or higher will be considered for the Honors Dean’s List.

The following students have been named to the President’s List or earned Academic Honors for the Spring 2022 semester. The President’s List recognizes full-time (12+ credits), degree-seeking students who earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher. Academic Honors acknowledges degree-seeking students enrolled in 6-11 credits with a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher.

The North Dakota State College of Science has named 386 students to its spring semester 2022 President’s Honor List. The Honor List recognizes students who have achieved grade point averages of 3.5 or higher while taking at least 12 credits with letter grades. The honorees include:

Iowa Lakes Community College releases the Spring 2022 Honors Lists recognizing students who achieve the highest academic standards earning inclusion on the President’s Honor List or Dean’s List. For the Spring 2022 semester, 109 students made the President’s Honor List, an honor achieved by those who recorded a 4.0 GPA, and 191 students made the Dean’s List of students who earned a 3.25 GPA or higher for the semester.

The University of Sioux Falls congratulates more than 600 students who made the Spring 2022 Dean’s List. To qualify, students must earn a term GPA of 3.5 or greater on a 4.0 scale.
