An elderly gospel minister was preaching on the truth that the Bible is in fact, inspired by the Holy Spirit and it is the Word of God. Jesus Himself made reference over and over of the writings of Moses, the prophets, Psalms, etc. The minister then said that modern criticism tells us that Genesis is a myth and the Book of Revelations is a mystery. “I wonder who it was that inspired that theory?” said the preacher. A voice from the congregation shouted out, “the devil!” “You are absolutely right,” said the minister; “and I will tell you why the devil is so anxious to get rid of Genesis and Revelation; because in Genesis his sentence is declared and in Revelation it is executed.”
