The University of Minnesota Beef Team is proud to host the annual Cow/ Calf Days Seminar Tour and Trade Show at 10 locations across the state in January (northern tour) and February (southern tour). This is the 51st year this educational program has been offered to cowcalf producers across the state, and continues to be the leading information, technology, and research outlet for Minnesota cow/ calf producers.

Sara Shingledecker (fka Sara Larson and Sara Dahl) will be ordained as a Pastor of Word and Sacrament in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America on January 21st at 3:30pm at First Lutheran Church in Marshall, MN. (In the case of inclimate weather this event will be held on Feb. 3.)

Staying Active and Independent for Life (SAIL) strength and balance exercise class will be brought to Westside Apartments by A.C.E. of Southwest Minnesota – Murray County. The MCC Rebel Girls Basketball team was on the road Thursday night to take on the Adrian Ellsworth Dragons. The game was held in Ellsworth, where the Rebels have played the Dragons in the last several years. The Rebels were hoping to get a win and pull their record to 5-5 on the season. The Dragons were not going to let that happen easily and their defense set the tone.

MCC looked to improve on their conference record as they hosted the Edgerton Flying Dutchmen Friday night. The game would feature an experienced Dutchmen team and a roller coaster type game that would see both teams go on big runs.

The Rebels had a quick turnaround, as they traveled to Tracy for an early afternoon tip Saturday against a tough and explosive Panther ball club. This would surely be a tight game and it did not disappoint, even though there were stretches that made you think otherwise.

The F/MCC Warriors had an excellent week with two home triangulars. One in Fulda and the other in Slayton, as well as a youth team tournament on Saturday.
